The Elegant Look of the Frameless Shower Door

The designs used to create today’s bathrooms are very elegant looking. Many of the new styles will include marble walls and tiled floors. They can also include frameless shower doors. These doors are usually made of glass and and do not use a frame section around the pieces to support them. They do use frameless shower door hardware to connect them to other sections of the surrounding unit such as side walls. There is generally a metal hinge placed at the top and bottom of the glass door to attach it to a side glass wall. There will be another one used to attach it to the bathroom wall wherever the glass meets the room’s wall.
The other piece of hardware used on these doors without frames is the handle. These hardware items are attached through holes that are drilled into the piece of glass so they are secured to your door. The door can be made as a right or left handed door to accommodate your needs. The type of glass used in making these doors is a heavy thick glass so it is not likely to crack or break from use. The various manufacturers will also have it available as a clear glass or as a frosted style.
The frosted glass can come in several color options including shades of a blue white. The companies will also have many different types of handles for your to choose from. You can also use this type of door with a tub and shower combination. The wall and door sections will be the same height as a traditional surround would be. When used in bathrooms with designer styles walls and tiles it enhances the rich and elegant design of your shower area as well as the entire room. The glass has a distinctive look that is enhanced when there is no metal frame section obscuring the flow of the design.
